The chitosan hemostatic material prepared through covalent cross-linking is prepared from chitosan by covalent cross-linking with a cross-linking agent, wherein the cross-linking agent is 1,4-butanediol diglycidyl ether. The preparation method of the chitosan hemostatic material prepared through covalent cross-linking comprises steps as follows: 1), an aqueous solution is prepared from chitosan; 2), the cross-linking agent is added to the aqueous solution of chitosan and is stirred and mixed uniformly, and a mixed solution is poured into a mold and dried; the cross-linking agent is 1,4-butanediol diglycidyl ether.
