Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a shaft element (1) of a turbomachine (2), in particular of a combined steam turbine (4), comprising at least two shaft subsegments (15, 16) integrally joined to each other by means of a weld (23), wherein different chemical and mechanical properties are inherent to said shaft subsegments (15, 16), wherein the weld (23) has a ratio of welding layer height to weld width of 1:14 to 1:2.
