The feed additive for improving quality of the chicken meat is mainly prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 18-28 parts of alfalfa, 15-25 parts of lily bulbs, 15-20 parts of licorice roots, 3-8 parts of slender dutchmanspipe roots, 1-5 parts of bighead atractylodes rhizomes, 1-3 parts of white mulberry root bark and 0.01-0.02 part of probiotic flora. The preparation method comprises five steps of preparing an extract, preparing extraction dregs, preparing a traditional Chinese medicine compound culture medium, preparing prebiotic fermentation liquor and preparing the feed additive.
