Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to the field of automobile charging and battery swapping, in particular to a charging and battery swap station and a battery swap method, aiming to solve the problems that a battery swap cart is inflexible and low in battery swap efficiency and the charging and the battery swap station is poor in applicability. The charging and battery swap station comprises a battery swap platform, a storage portion and an automatic battery swap robot; the battery swap platform is used for parking automobiles waiting for battery swap; the storage portion comprises a plurality of battery storage units which can form the storage portion through at least one combination mode; the automatic battery swap robot can at least move freely within a range between the battery swap platform and the storage portion. Through the automatic battery swap robot capable of moving freely, the automatic battery swap robot can replace power batteries for the electric automobiles waiting for battery swap without guide rails, a
