Reader

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight of the reader by making the weight of an outer package and a case frame light and integrating them different from a heavy weight of a conventional reader because a metal is used for the frame or the like. SOLUTION: A roll 4 is provided between a contact glass 1 and a contact image sensor 2. A push-up spring 6 is used to press the contact image sensor 2 onto the contact glass 1 to keep the distance between the contact glass 1 and the contact image sensor 2 constant so as to eliminate the need for stiffness for a case frame 14. Since no stiffness is required for the case frame 14, the contact glass 1 is supported with the case frame 14 made of a formed resin forming as an outer package component to make the weight of the reader light.
