Zusammenfassung:	An emulsion composition according to the present invention comprises a polymerizable compound having at least two (meth)acryloyl groups, a surfactant, and a dispersion medium containing water as the main component, wherein the oil droplet diameter D90 corresponding to the cumulative 90 vol% in an oil droplet diameter distribution, which is a distribution measured on oil droplets each containing the polymerizable compound and the surfactant by a laser diffraction scattering measurement method, is less than 1.8 [mu]m. It is preferred that the maximum oil droplet diameter Dmax as measured on the above-mentioned oil droplets by the laser diffraction scattering measurement method is less than 4.0 [mu]m. It is preferred that the content of the polymerizable compound in the composition is 40 parts by mass or more relative to the total amount, i.e., 100 parts by mass, of the components other than the dispersion medium.
