The invention discloses a method for improving perception performance of compression frequency spectrums. One embodiment of the invention comprises steps of using a broadband modulation converter to carrying out compression sampling on spatial wireless electrical signals received by an antenna so as to obtain multiple paths of compression measurement samples; by use of a branch energy compensation pre-judgment method, determining whether a main user signal exists in the compression measurement samples; responding to determination of non-existence of the main user signal, wherein the whole frequency band is an available idle frequency band; responding to the existence of the main user signal and by use of the orthogonal matching pursuit method, finishing determination of branch sets; and finding out frequency bands which are not occupied by the main user, wherein the reset unoccupied frequency bands are available idle frequency bands.
