The invention provides a wooden pencil box which comprises a box body and a box cover, wherein a limiting block for stopping the box cover is arranged on one side of the box body; sliding chutes are respectively formed in two side walls of the box body; sliding blocks matched with the sliding chutes are arranged on the box cover; at least one first groove is formed in the bottom of an inner cavity of the box body; at least one second groove is further formed in the bottom of the inner cavity of the box body; a stop block is arranged between every two adjacent first grooves. According to the pencil box, by cooperation between the sliding blocks and the sliding chutes, opening and closing between the box cover and the box body are realized, so that the phenomenon that the box cover cannot be opened or is hard to open due to failure in matching of a rotating shaft in the prior art is avoided, and the wooden pencil box is more convenient to use; furthermore, by the arrangement of the first grooves, the second gro
