Information box display method and apparatus

Embodiments of the invention provide an information box display method and apparatus. The method comprises the steps of generating an information box for each identified object if it is detected that at least one to-be-identified identified object exists in an image; simulating a first position, in the image, of a preset reference point of each information box; for each information box, determining a moving distance between the first position and a preset position on a moving track, and determining a cost value according to the moving distance and a preset cost function; and if a sum of cost values of at least one information box in the image meets a preset condition, displaying the corresponding information box in each first position. According to the method and the apparatus, the information boxes can be ensured not to be located outside a display region of the image and mutually overlapped, and the information boxes are all located in the position most favorable for a user to watch, so that the user can co
