The invention discloses a method and a system for online teaching and research of teachers. The system comprises a distributed server, a database server, an NAS server, a file server group, and a web server group, wherein the distributed server is used for averagely assigning a plurality of access users to the web server with a minimum visitor count; the database server is used for storing character data released by a user and receiving a character reading request of the web server group; the NAS server is used for storing a file uploaded by the user and receiving the character reading request of the web server group; the file server group is used for converting a file in the NAS server and providing preview; the web server group includes a plurality of web servers and is used for receiving concurrent accesses of the plurality of users, calling the database server, the file server group and the NAS server to execute storage and reading operations according to the access request of the users.
