Display device and method of controlling display device

A display device is disclosed. The present display device comprises: a graphic processing unit for rendering strokes; a display for displaying an image including the rendered strokes; and a processor for generating a redraw event on the image, determining a redraw region, and providing rendering information for rendering strokes included in the redraw region to the graphic processing unit.
