A signal detection method of a touch control panel for avoiding inadvertent touch is disclosed. The steps of the signal detection method includes: determining whether a plurality of detection point signals captured have inadvertent touch and calculating an inadvertent touch centroid of the plurality of detection point signals; setting a rejection area extrapolated from the first centroid; obtaining one or a plurality of new detection point signals for determining whether to update the rejection area; updating the rejection area, wherein each update is not carried out until one update is delayed.
