The online detection method comprises the following steps of before testing, determining the proper detection condition and measuring type of an instrument; cleaning a cuvette, and setting the cleaning temperature to 30 to 60 DEG C, cleaning and cooling time to 2 to 10min, and cleaning constant-temperature time to 2 to 10min; enabling the instrument to set the range of a water sample in the cuvette to 0 to 300mg/L; adding a reagent A and a reagent B in the cuvette to react with the ammonia and nitrogen ions in a water sample; performing color developing reaction in the cuvette, and maintaining certain temperature to 35 to 55 DEG C; after heating, warming for 100 to 500s; after heating is stopped, enabling a cooling device to cool the cuvette for 100 to 600s; using the photoelectric colorimetry to measure the light absorbance near the 660-700nm wave band; draining the liquid.
