The invention relates to an optical cable detecting system, and the system comprises a high-low temperature test chamber which is used for heating or cooling optical fibers in a to-be-detected optical cable, a multi-channel switching device which is used for switching the to-be-detected optical cable, an OTDR tester which is used for detecting attenuation characteristics of the optical fibers in the to-be-detected optical cable, and a control terminal which is used for monitoring the temperature of the high-low temperature test chamber, controlling the multi-channel switching device to switch the to-be-detected optical cable and processing and storing the temperature information of the high-low temperature test chamber and detection results of the OTDR tester; wherein the high-low temperature test chamber, the multi-channel switching device and the OTDR tester are separately connected with the control terminal.
