Device and method for adjustment of the blade gap in drum shears for cross cutting a metal strip

The invention relates to a device and to a method for adjustment of the blade gap (4) of drum shears (2) for cutting a metal strip (1). The problem addressed by the invention is that of modifying drum shears for cross cutting a metal strip such that the blade (5) can be used resulting in a symmetrical cutting profile, such as is exhibited for example by blades having a curved cutting edge, wherein the blade gap (4) can be adjusted automatically without additional setup times during the production operation of the drum shears.
