Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a perpendicular type telemetering device and method for vehicle emissions. The device and the method enable a detection result not to be affected by left, right, high and low positions of vehicle exhaust pipes, thus improving the detection efficiency. The device comprises a laser device for emitting detection light rays, and further comprises a rotatable multi-ridge table mirror mounted on a portal frame on a street, a reflector which is used for reflecting the detection light rays from the laser device to enable the detection light rays to reach the multi-ridge table mirror, a converging lens located right behind the reflector, and a first detector which is located at a focal point of the converging lens and is used for detecting air mass concentration.
