The invention discloses a method for preparing silver nanowires with smaller diameters through mixing polyhydric alcohol, in which, silver nanowires with different diameters, different lengths and smaller diameters can be obtained by regulating the volume ratio, reaction temperature, and reaction time of ethanediol and diethylene glycol.
