Method for preparing hydroxytyrosolby utilizing organic metal compound

The invention discloses a method for preparing 4-(2-hydroxyalkyl)-1,2-benzenediol. The method comprises the following steps: (a) providing protected 1,2-benzenediol with a protected 1,2-hydroxyl group; (b) halogenating the protected 1,2-benzenediol to obtainprotected 4-halogenated-1,2-benzenediol with the protected 1,2-hydroxyl group; (c) in the presence of metal or organic metal compounds, performing reaction on the protected 4-halogenated-1,2-benzenediol to produce protected 4-(2-hydroxyalkyl)-1,2-benzenediolwith the protected 1,2-hydroxyl group; and (d) deprotecting the protected 4-(2-hydroxyalkyl)-1,2-benzenediol to obtain the 4-(2-hydroxyalkyl)-1,2-benzenediol.
