By means of the method for treating the laterite nickel ore through direct reduction and magnetic separation, nickel and iron in the low-grade laterite nickel ore can be enriched effectively. Compared with a common direct reduction and magnetic separation treating method, by means of the method, a nickel-iron alloy can be obtained through reduction at the relatively-low temperature, the enriched nickel and iron are separated out through the magnetic separation manner, finally the rest of residues can be used as a new raw material for preparing a raw material for cement or building bricks, and the purpose of comprehensively using the laterite nickel ore is achieved. 本发明涉及冶金领域,具体涉及种利用直接还原-磁选处理红土镍矿的方法。本发明利用直接还原-磁选处理红土镍矿的方法,能够有效富集低品位的红土镍矿中的镍和铁。该方法与常用的直接还原-磁选处理方法相比,此方法可在相对较低的温度下还原出镍铁合金,利用磁选的方式将富集的镍铁选出,而最后剩余的残渣还作为新的原料制备水泥或建筑用砖等原材料,达到红土镍矿综合利用的目的。
