Disclosed in the invention is an optical module. The invention provides an optical module comprising a housing upper cover, a housing lower cover, a circuit board and an optical chip. The housing upper cover and the housing lower cover form a cavity with two open ends; the optical chip and the circuit board are arranged in the cavity; and the optical chip is connected with the circuit board electrically. The circuit board is connected with the outside electrically through the opening at one end of the cavity; and the optical chip is connected with the outside optically through the opening at the other end of the cavity. A conductive layer is formed at the surface, in contact with the housing lower cover, of the housing upper cover and the space between the housing upper cover and the housing lower cover is filled with the conductive layer, so that a gap formed between the housing upper cover and the housing lower cover because of a mechanical error can be filled.
