Zusammenfassung: | The invention discloses a gene mutation site controlling rice grain high cadmium accumulation and application thereof. The gene mutation site controlling rice grain high cadmium accumulation is located at the position of downstream +1138 nucleotide of a rice OsHMA3 gene initiation codon ATG, has A/C polymorphism, and is remarkably correlative with rice grain cadmium content. According to the gene mutation site, the cadmium content of rice grain with AA genotype is remarkably lower than that of rice grain with CC genotype. Due to the fact that the mutation site exists in japonica rice varieties, detection of the mutation site by means of a simple molecular marker has significant economic and social benefits for avoiding using risks of high cadmium accumulation varieties and assisting in breeding new low cadmium accumulation varieties.
