The process mainly comprises the steps of solid-liquid separation of fermentation broth, collection of an aqueous product, extraction, concentration, crystallization, recrystallization and drying. The obtained 11alpha,17alpha-dihydroxy progesterone has the purity of more than or equal to 99 percent and the yield of more than or equal to 95 percent. The process has the characteristics of process simplicity and high product purity.
