The invention relates to a system and method for monitoring pre-natal behaviors of a sow. The system comprises a frame body, supersonic ranging nodes and a remote-control central processor, wherein the supersonic ranging nodes are mounted at the top of the frame body and are used for measuring distances from the head, back and tail of the sow to the top of the frame body, and signal output terminals of the supersonic ranging nodes are in wireless connection with the remote-control central processor and are used for sending monitoring data.
