The invention relates to a pot cover of a high pressure cooker. The pot cover comprises a safety valve, a boss, a groove, a handle, a timing alarming device, raised points, a cover body and a baffle, wherein the handle of the high pressure cooker is disposed on one side of the cover body and connected with the cover body by a bolt; the annular groove and the cover body are concentric; and the annular groove stops high-temperature gases from rushing to the handle during cover opening. The boss and the groove are disposed concentrically, the safety valve is disposed on the boss, water spilled out by the safety valve is stored, and submerging of an air vent of the safety valve by too much water and subsequent gas discharge retarding could be avoided.
