Advertisement replacement system based on set top box

The present invention discloses an advertisement replacement system based on a set top box. The system can replace the advertisement played through a TV station with other advertisements which allow consumers to obtain profit. The method comprises: (1) performing sound sampling of the watching TV channel play content; and (2) comparing the sampling with the advertisement feature samples in an advertisement bank A, if the sound sampling is matched with the advertisement feature samples in an advertisement bank, employing the advertisements in an advertisement bank B for replacement, or else, going on watching the channel.
