The distribution transformer overload alarm device in use is installed at a distribution transformer body or a low-voltage meter box, and when current is detected by a current transformer to pass through a low-voltage conductor of a distribution transformer, the output end of the current transformer senses certain current and the current passes through a starting coil of a current relay. When the current flowing through the starting coil does not reach a set value, the current relay is not started, a first indicating lamp lights, a second indicating lamp does not light, and a bell does not ring; and when the current flowing through the starting coil reaches the set value, the current relay is started, the first indicating lamp does not light, the second indicating lamp lights, and the bell gives an alarm.
