The invention provides a relay type corridor elevator. The relay type corridor elevator comprises a frame, a man carrying mechanism, a power mechanism and rails. The bottom end of the man carrying mechanism is flush with the ground of the corridor at the end positions. The power mechanism is arranged in the frame and is used for providing power for the man carrying mechanism. The rails are used for limiting the moving trajectory of the man carrying mechanism and ensuring that the man carrying mechanism is always kept at the horizontal position. The rails comprise a first rail, a second rail and a third rail. Each rail is divided into three sections, wherein the upper section is arranged in the horizontal direction, the middle section is parallel to the slope surface of the corridor, and the lower section is arranged in the vertical direction.
