The invention provides a holding structure for an automotive light guide rod. The structure is capable of reducing number of parts for holding the light guid rode. The holding structure for an automotive light guide rod comprises the following components: a light guide rod 2; a matching component 3, which comprises a groove 3a and a light guide bar 2 which is accommodated in the groove 3a, and the light LT1 from the light guide bar 2 is projected outside the groove 3a; an external fitting component 4, which is externally assembled in the light guide bar 2; and a gap CL1 which is formed bwteen the inner surface 3b of the groove 3a and the light guide bar 2.
