Date Dec. 14, 1995The valve needle includes a connecting part that is manufactured from a semifinished profiled section and joins an armature and a valve closure member. Together with the armature, the profiled connecting part forms flow channels. Since the fuel flowing through the flow channels arrives downstream from the flow channels, outside of the connecting part and up to the valve seat, there is no need for fuel outside the connecting part. The valve needle is especially suited for injectors in fuel-injection systems of mixture-compressing internal combustion engines with externally supplied ignition.
