This connector (10) is provided with a holding member (20) defining a connection space (35), a shell (70), and a ground member (100) which is electrically connected to the shell (70). The ground member (100) comprises a base unit (110) which is positioned between the holding member (20) and the shell (70), a ground spring unit (130) which extends from the base unit (110), and a ground contact unit (180) which is connected to a mating ground unit. The ground spring unit (130) comprises a first spring portion (140) which extends backwards, a second spring portion (150) which extends horizontally from the back end of the first spring portion (140), and a third spring portion (160) which extends forwards from the back end of the second spring portion (150). In the vertical direction, the third spring portion (160) is positioned to the inside of the second spring portion (150).
