The invention relates to a king bolt for transmitting longitudinal and transverse forces between a bogie and a carriage body, wherein the king bolt tapers, along its longitudinal axis (8), from a wide end (2) to a narrow end (3), and wherein the king bolt comprises a main body (1) and ribs (4), which are arranged on the main body in order to support the carriage body.
