The ultrasonic diagnostic device includes a plurality of ultrasonic probes, and a selection unit (82) that performs a selecting function according to a program so as to select the most frequently used ultrasonic probe based on information on the frequency of use of the ultrasonic probes, the information being specified by information on a use situation of the ultrasonic diagnostic device. The information on the frequency of use is created by the information creation unit (81).
