The method comprises the steps of in a process of carrying out GR (Graceful Restart) by a restart device, locally obtaining first ORF (Outbound Route filtering) strategy information; through utilization of the first ORF strategy information, filtering routes to be synchronized to the restart device; and sending first type of filtered routes to the restart device. Through application of the technical scheme, the rapid convergence of the GR can be realized, the GR process is prevented from being finished after a long time, the convergence speed of the GR is accelerated, the GR performance is improved, and the original GR process is not influenced. 本发明提供种路由传输方法和装置，该方法包括：在重启设备执行GR的过程中，从本地获取第ORF策略信息；利用所述第ORF策略信息对待同步给所述重启设备的路由进行过滤；将通过过滤处理的第类路由发送给所述重启设备。通过本发明的技术方案，可以实现GR的快速收敛，避免GR过程长时间才结束，加快GR的收敛速度，提高GR性能，不会对原有GR流程产生影响。
