Zusammenfassung:	According to this invention, a single-picture TV set has a picture-in-picture furction without any change in circuit and structure. Such picture-in-picture device is composed of receiver, processing circuit, control circuit and output circuit for sub- and main-picture TV signals. The sub-picture image signal is decomposed into three components, intensity signal and phase difference and amplitude of chrominance signals and after digitalizing processing the picture is compressed, which is then mixed with the TV signals of main picture. Its output signals are composite video signals for sub- and main-picture plus high-frequency channel signal.
