A cadmium polymer, namely the terephthalic acid cadmium polymer, is obtained by using terephthalic acid, bis(4-pyridyl)amine and cadmium nitrate through a hydrothermal method. A structural formula of the terephthalic acid cadmium polymer is shown in a description.
