The chrome-molybdenum-copper abrasion-resistant cast iron comprises the components of, by weight, 2.8%-3.8% of C, 1.65%-2.7% of Si, 0.5%-1.2% of Mn, 0.12%-0.7% of P, 0.2%-0.5% of Cr, 0.3%-0.8% of Mo, 0.55%-1.4% of Cu, 0-0.09% of S, and the balance Fe. The preparation method comprises the steps of burdening, preheating, smelting, on-the-spot sample quick analysis, final deoxidation, inoculation treatment and pouring. According to the preparation method, the casting process is simple, the structure is refined significantly, the mechanical strength, abrasion resistance, heat resistance and other comprehensive properties are improved, the mechanical property can reach the HT250 grade, and the casting process is especially suitable for casting cylinders, piston rings and tappets.
