The method comprises: obtaining the current search hierarchy, initial value of radius, and the amounts of radius adjustment respectively corresponding to other searched hierarchy; based on distribution of non-center chi-square, calculating the total amounts of radius adjustment respectively corresponding to the current search hierarchy; based on initial value of the radius, the amounts of radius adjustment respectively corresponding to other searched hierarchy, and the total amounts of radius corresponding to unsearched hierarchy, calculating the radius of the current hierarchy. the radius update method provided by the example can calculate more accurate updated radius, thus to solve the problem that amplification of updated radius may bring more calculations of spheroidal decoding algorithm.
