The detection method comprises the following steps of porcelain crucible drying, instrument parameter setting, instrument calibration, sample processing and sample measurement, wherein the key step process comprises that the high frequency combustion power of an infrared sulfur carbon instrument is set to be 1.5-5.0 kW, the oxygen purity is more than or equal to 99.5%, the oxygen flow rate is 2-5 L/min, the analysis time is 30-50 s, the sweeping time interval is 3-7 times, and the comparison level is 0.01-0.03.
