An optical device with an optical module (12) that includes at least one optical element (4, 14) and a control module (10) for controlling the optical device is provided. The optical module includes a sub-system (3) with a memory (15) as well as at least one of an actuator (11) and a sensor. An instruction for setting the actuator and/or the sensor of the sub-system (3) is stored in the memory.
