Zusammenfassung:	The invention provides a water pump and a clothing care machine with the water pump. The water pump comprises a pump cavity, an impeller arranged in the pump cavity and driven by a motor, and a water inlet channel, a water circulating channel and a water discharge channel which are in fluid communication with the pump cavity. A valve is arranged in the pump cavity and is provided with an opening; the valve can move between a first position and a second position; when the valve is at the first position, the opening faces the water circulating channel, so that the water circulating channel becomes in fluid communication with the pump cavity and the water inlet channel and the water discharge channel does not communicate with the pump cavity because of the valve; when the valve is at the second position, the opening faces the water discharge channel, so that the water discharge channel is in fluid communication with the pump cavity and the water inlet channel and the water circulating channel does not communicat
