Application identification method and apparatus

The invention relates to an application identification method and apparatus. The method comprises steps of acquiring an application name of a first application and a corresponding channel package name, acquiring an application name of a second application and a corresponding channel package name, determining whether the application name of the first application is matched with the application name of the second application, acquiring similarity between the channel package names of the first and second applications, and determining whether the first and second applications are the same application according to the similarity. Human resource cost can be reduced and application distributing efficiency can be improved by the use of the application identification method. 本发明涉及种应用识别方法和装置，其方法包括：获取第应用的应用名称和对应的渠道包名，以及获取第二应用的应用名称和对应的渠道包名；判断第应用的应用名称与第二应用的应用名称是否匹配；如果匹配，则获取第应用的渠道包名与第二应用的渠道包名之间的相似度；根据相似度判断第应用与第二应用是否为同应用。本发明可以降低人力成本、提高应用分发效率。
