The invention relates to an adjustable carrying device, particularly to an adjustable sheath for carrying an article. The adjustable sheath includes a main body having a front surface, a rear surface opposite the front surface, and a peripheral edge, a receptacle configured to receive an article, coupled to the front surface and including an outer surface, and a strap configured to retain the article within the receptacle, wherein the strap includes a first end portion removably coupled to the rear surface of the main body and a second end portion removably coupled to the outer surface of the receptacle.
