The invention provides a backlight module and a display device. A first strengthening part is arranged on at least one side body of a backboard; when external force acts on a liquid crystal display panel, the first strengthening part can provide force, opposite to the external force in direction, to a gum frame, so as to offset part of the external force, i.e., to reduce force applied to the gum frame by the liquid crystal display panel, thus reducing deformation quantity of the liquid crystal display panel, improving the anti-bending performance of the liquid crystal display panel, and effectively solving the problem that due to the action of the external force, the liquid crystal display panel is easily broken. 本发明提供种背光模组及显示装置，通过在背板的至少个侧围上设置第加强部，当外力作用于液晶显示面板上时，第加强部可以向胶框提供与外力方向相反的力，以抵消部分外力，即减小所述液晶显示面板对胶框施加的力，从而减小液晶显示面板的形变量，提高液晶显示面板的抗弯折性能，有效解决液晶显示面板受到外力作用容易发生破损的问题。
