A novel lifting type gate structure for a water conservancy project comprises a gate lifting plate for opening and closing a water gate in a wall and a fixed rack fixedly mounted on the wall. The upper side of the gate lifting plate is fixedly connected with the lower end of a lifting driving thread sleeve. An external thread is arranged on the peripheral face of the lifting driving thread sleeve and used for being matched with an internal thread in a lower driving gear which is rotationally mounted in the fixed rack and engaged with a lower drive gear.
