The invention relates to an intermittent type phase-locked loop frequency synthesizer which comprises a clock synchronization unit, a phase-locked loop unit and a mode control unit, wherein the clock synchronization unit is connected with the mode control unit and the phase-locked loop unit respectively; the mode control unit is connected with the phase-locked loop unit; the clock synchronization unit and the mode control unit are used as input ends, and are respectively used for receiving a reference clock signal and a mode control signal; the mode control unit receives a synchronous clock signal sent by the clock synchronization unit; the phase-locked loop unit receives a first reset signal and a second reset signal which are sent by the mode control signal, receives the synchronous clock signal sent by the clock synchronization unit, and respectively sends a feedback clock signal to the clock synchronization unit and the mode control unit; the phase-locked loop unit serving as an output end for outputting
