The invention discloses a control method which is used for controlling the screen display of an electronic device. The control method comprises the following steps: setting a matching relation of a plurality of types of eye health conditions and a plurality of types of eye protection settings, wherein in the matching relation, each eye health condition corresponds to one eye protection setting; determining a current user eye health condition according to first user input; according to the matching relation, determining that the eye protection setting corresponding to the current user eye health condition is used as the applicable eye protection setting; and controlling the screen display according to the applicable eye protection setting. According to the implementation manner, the eye health conditions can be determined according to the user input and each eye health condition corresponds to one eye protection setting, so that the screen display can be adjusted according to the eye health conditions of the u
