Zusammenfassung:The invention provides a large turbocharged two-stroke self-igniting uniflow type internal combustion engine comprising a plurality of cylinder bodies (1); a gas inlet system; a discharge system; a turbocharger (5); a fuel system; an EGR system; a first sensor (27); a controller (50). Purging gas is guided into the cylinder bodies (1) via the gas inlet system, and the gas inlet system comprises a purging gas receiver (2) connected to the cylinder bodies (1). Discharge gas generated in the cylinder bodies is discharged via the discharge system and the discharge system comprises a discharge gas receiver (3) connected to the cylinder bodies. The turbocharger transmits purging gas flow to the purging gas receiver via a turbine (8) and a compressor (9). The fuel system transmits fuel flow to the cylinder bodies (1). The EGR system transmits discharge gas flow to the gas inlet system form the discharge system and comprises at least one speed-variable or rate-fixed fan (22).
