Zusammenfassung:	A needle assembly (1) is provided with a cover (5/7) provided so as to be able to move to a first position in which a cannula (2/3) is exposed and a second position in which a distal end protrudes past the cannula. The cover (5/7) is provided with a circumferential locking part (25/43) and a locking projection (5a/33a) movable along a front-rear groove (24/42) continuous with the circumferential locking part (25/43), or along the circumferential locking part (25/43) and the front-rear groove (24/42). In a state in which the cover (5/7) is in a first position and the locking projection (5a/33a) is accommodated in the circumferential locking part (25/43), movement of the cover (5/7) in the front-rear direction is impeded, and when the locking projection (5a/33a) moves along the circumferential locking part (25/43) toward the front-rear groove (24/42), the locking projection (5a/33a) becomes movable along the front-rear groove (24/42), and the cover (5/7) is allowed to move to the second position.
