The invention provides an information sharing system and method. The system comprises a plurality of information sharing clients and a distributed storage network, wherein the clients comprise issuing sharing units and receiving sharing units; the issuing sharing units are used for generating and issuing a plurality of pieces of sharing information of a current user; the issuing comprises the following steps: uploading the plurality of pieces of sharing information to the distributed storage network to perform distributed storage; receiving master keys which are generated and returned by the distributed storage network according to the plurality of pieces of sharing information; and pushing the master keys to the receiving sharing units of sharing object users; and the receiving sharing units are used for receiving the master keys, downloading corresponding plurality of pieces of sharing information from the distributed storage network according to the received master keys, and updating a display list in orde
