The multi-tag detection method comprises the steps that S1: an RFID tag converts tag data t into interleaved data x(j), wherein the tag data t refers to tag data which is to be sent by a kth RFID tag, and the interleaved data x(j) refers to converted interleaved data; S2: an RFID reader detects input data r(j) transmitted via a channel, wherein the input data r(j)=Sigemahx(j)+n(j), j is equal to 1, 2, and so on, J, h is a channel coefficient sent by the kth RFID tag, and n(j) is additive white Gaussian noise sampling; S3: the RFID reader calculates output read-write data t. According to the RFID multi-tag detection algorithm applied to the tracing system, a system model of an IDMA algorithm is designed, and the algorithm is superior to MC-CDMA and CDMA-MMSE in the aspects of detection efficiency, stability and bit error rate.
